About SRM VEC ECE

Changing the World

In order to meet the wide ranging, challenging and very rapidly growing Global Demands for "Professional Electronics and Communication Engineers" in this Hi-Tech Era, the Department of "Electronics and Communication Engineering" was established since inception of the college in the year 1999. National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the B.E-ECE programme for a period of 3 years. Initially, the annual intake was 60. In tune with the growing demand profile globally for ECE, the intake level was enhanced to 120 in the year 2000–01 and 120 to 180 in the year 2012–13.

In a very short span of time since the Department was launched in our College, it has made a name for itself, among the Top few Colleges, at the University level, through Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, and Conferences and also through its performance in the Examinations and Placement.

Being a student of SRM Valliammai Engineering College, in ECE department, I would definitely give a yes. It has excelled in almost all manners, both in technical and non-technical. The department has all the latest updates as of today, and has an excellent set of faculties to train the students.

If you have good marks in the bag you can prefer ECE at SRM valliammai engineering college as it's one of the top Anna university affiliated autonomous colleges in Chennai...there are very good and friendly faculties from which you could learn something….SRM on the other hand has diversity as people from various parts of India join here.i completed my BE degree in ECE dept at 2018. I placed in reputed IT company with 3.8LPA. every year 95% of students are placed in various MNCs. This year few new courses are introduced such that BE (medical electronics), BTech(Data science and machine learning), And BE (cypher security). There is no dress code and they allowed to use mobile phones in college with proper manner. Strictly they follow switch off mode or silent mode during class hours. My better option SRM valliammai is good for academic and co curricular activities.
